The SFC Women’s Water Polo team went on the road last night to Coronado for a league game against High Tech High. The Lady Eagles came away with a solid win by a score of 13-2. The team is now 6-0 in league play. The leading scorers for the Eagles were Gisselle Fenby and Morgan Day with three goals each. Gisselle also added four assists and three steals. Mylin Bennett led the defense with seven steals while adding two goals and four assists. Also adding goals for the Eagles was Sofia Gonzalez, Ryan Rodriguez, Jacklyn Rodriguez, and Kate Small. Goalkeeper play was strong for SFC. Annie Marx made four saves and allowed only one goal in the first half. Charlotte Adams was in goal in the second half and also have four saves and one goal allowed.
Next up, TONIGHT ( 1/29) the Lady Eagle have a league game on Wednesday vs Our Lady of Peace at Mesa College with Varsity at 3:30 pm and JV at 4:30 pm.
