Girls lacrosse hosted the visiting Francis Parker Lancers on Tuesday afternoon. Things started out great for the Eagles when Freshman Maya Dumas scored in the 8 seconds of the game. The Lancers were able to answer that goal with two of their own within minutes of each other. Senior Alyssa Freter scored with 12:16 left in the first half. After a few saves by Freshman Alyssa Pederson, Francis Parker scored with 10 minutes left. Maya Dumas scored her second goal of the game off a nice assist from Freshman Bella Sessa. The Lancers were able to score 2 more times before the half ended. When the second half started the Eagles were down 5-3. Sarah Senior Teruya scored first but Francis Parker was able to score 5 straight goals before SFC was able to answer. The Eagles were at a distinct disadvantage during the second half. The refs were calling a tight game and issued 5 yellow cards to Santa Fe during the game. After a team receives 4 yellow cards they must play down a player for the remainder of the game. The Eagles received their 4th yellow with 10:32 left in the game. Ultimately SFC lost to Francis Parker 10-6. Maya Dumas lead the team with 3 goals and 3 ground balls.
