The Santa Fe Christian Eagles hosted the Pacific Ridge Firebirds for Senior Night on Thursday afternoon. The Eagles scored first when Junior Will Littlejohn passed to Sophomore Preston Graubert who scored with 8:30 left in the first quarter. Pac Ridge followed that up with an unassisted goal with 7:12 left. Preston Graubert assisted on Senior Garrett Lipscomb’s first goal of the night. Lipscomb followed up his goal with an assist to Freshman Jack Winters with 59 seconds left.
The start of the second quarter saw the Eagles up 3 – 1. The Firebirds scored with 10 minutes left but that goal was followed up by Junior Griffin Morris assisted by Junior Michael Linguadoca. Garrett Lipscomb caught a pass behind the goal and put the moves on his defender causing him to fall before he was able to rip a shot and score an unassisted goal with 6:57 left in the quarter. Lipscomb then followed that goal up with another one he bounced off the ground off an assist from Graubert. Pac Ridge answered with 2:57 left in the quarter. That Pac Ridge goal looked to be the last goal of the half before Garrett Lipscomb passed to Preston Graubert who ripped a shot and scored as time expired to put the Eagles up 7-3.
The third quarter only saw one goal by either team and that was Graubert scoring off a Sophomore Landon Granieri assist. Eagles up 8-3. Sophomore Jack Winters added another goal in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles won 9-3. Senior Grant Koopman collected 9 saves. The Eagles fired off 29 shots and collected 26 ground balls. The Eagles also had 14 clears against 2 fails. Both Garrett Lipscomb and Preston Graubert ended the day with 5 points. Lipscomb’s coming off 3 goals and 2 assists. Graubert had 3 goals and 2 assists. Senior Grant Smith and Junior Michael Linguadoca also scooped up 5 ground balls each. The Eagles finished the day going 11-4 on face-offs. Their next game is Tuesday, April 24th at home against Bishop’s.
