SFC Athletics has a rich history of success across all the Varsity teams. For the last 18 years, SFC Football has experienced tremendous success with its program, and this weekend in the NFL, SFC Special Teams Coach, Michael Husted, and Head Coach Jon Wallace earned the right to be very proud. Michael Husted, former NFL kicker for 10 years has two of his former SFC Eagles in the NFL debuting their talents. Both Jake Bailey (Stanford, N.E. PATRIOTS) and Brock Miller (Southern Utah, L.A. RAMS) punted in NFL games this opening weekend. Both athletes have worked with Coach Husted to perfect their craft while they were at SFC, then in college, and now at the highest level, the National Football League. The first SFC player to make it to the NFL was Mario Kurn (DE/OLB) SFC Class of 2008 (University of San Diego, Oakland RAIDERS). There have been dozens of SFC players who are playing now or have played in college and enjoying great success. We are so fortunate to have teachers and coaches who love the Lord and are gifted at encouraging and teaching our athletes to be their best, both on and off the field.
Isaiah 40:31 - But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
GO EAGLES..
