The visiting Tri-City Christian Eagles came to Santa Fe Christian on Tuesday to take on Coach Enderlin and the Softball team. Senior Brooklyn Hamilton got the start and held TCC scoreless in the first inning. Sophomore Abby Roy sparked the offense with a solo home run in the bottom of the first, but Tri-City was able to get three straight outs after that. SFC held Tri-City scoreless in the top of the second inning, but Tri-City returned the same favor in the bottom of that inning. The Tri-City Eagles scored 1 in the third inning to tie the game and kept the SFC Eagles scoreless. Hamilton controlled the fourth inning with 2 strikeouts and then catching a line drive right back at her to end that half of the inning. Senior Lauren led the bottom of the fourth off with a triple. She was able to score on a sac-fly by Junior Katie Heilig to put SFC up 2-1. TCC was held scoreless in the top of the sixth. Brooklyn Hamilton started off the bottom of the sixth with a walk, a single by Lauren Johnston moved Hamilton to 3rd base. Another sac-fly by Heilig scores Hamilton to put SFC up 3-1. Santa Fe Christian took the field in the seventh inning to try to end the game. Hamilton struck out the first two batters she faced, she walked the next batter before she was able to get the final batter out. The SFC Eagles won 3-1, their next game is Monday, April 9th at SFC against La Jolla Country Day at 4pm.
