SFC Track & Field –LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

Both the SFC Boys Track Team and Girls Track Team defended their

Coastal League titles yesterday at University City High School. Back to

back titles for both programs in the 8-school Coastal League.

The Eagles are peaking at the right time, achieving 39 Personal Records in

the meet. On the boy’s side, top finishers included; Joe Burich with a 1 st ,

2 nd , and 3 rd in the 4x100, 100m & 200m. Ryan Todd with a 2 nd place in the

3200. Trent Hall placing 2 nd in both the 110 Hurdles and 300 hurdles and

Isaiah Love winning the Shot Put with the number 3 throw in SFC history.

For the girls, Abby Phillips had 3, 1 st place finishes and a 3 rd place, in the

4x100, Long Jump, High Jump and 100m respectively. Alana Acuna placed

3 rd in the 3200 and 1 st in the 1600 where SFC had 4 of the top 5 Milers in

the meet! Other event champions included Jessica Olmore in the 300m

Hurdles, and Camille Needham in the Triple Jump. Freshman Bella

Raiszadeh placed 2 nd in the 100m hurdles setting a new school record!

Coach Kloer said “It was an amazing team effort with so many great

individual stories unfolding throughout the meet as well. It was truly a joy to

witness!”  

Next up for SFC Track - the top individual qualifiers move on to next

week’s Conference Championships where the best athletes from 15

schools vie for a CIF qualifying spot.
