The SFC swim team had a great meet at Canyon Crest on March 29th. Coach Bailey saw new best times for the swimmers 35 times! It was an awesome day for all the swimmers but according to Coach these were the most exciting ones…Junior Logan Kightly was able to drop his 100m Fly time down 3 seconds from 1:04.2 to 1:00.6. Freshman Jake Pistone cut his 100m Breast time down by almost 5 seconds from 1:38.2 to 1:33.7. The girls destroyed their previous best times in all of their relays as well! The team has three more dual meets in April, with League Championships tentatively scheduled for the start of May. Coach Bailey has the team training hard all the way up to the rest week before the end of the season. They train very hard and get broken down during the early/middle season. Towards the end of the season the athletes “taper” and if they put in the work and the taper is timed right they could see some big drops at the end of the season! The Eagles have a meet this week on Thursday, April 12th at Carlsbad High School.
