The SFC Track & Field team opened up their 2018 season Thursday March 15th, in a cluster meet between all 8 Coastal League teams. In total 212 Athletes from 8 teams competed in 451 Events at Orange Glen High School.
SFC’s Boys tied for 3rd overall just a few points behind winner Orange Glen and 2nd place Bishops. Standouts included event winner Isaiah Love in the Shot Put, throwing 40-04, the 5th best all time for the Eagles. Caden Gietzen scored valuable points, placing 2nd in both the High Jump and Triple Jump. Oscar Navarro, Blake Weeks, Joe Burich all had individual podium finishes.
SFC’s Girls dominated the season opener with 6 first place finishes, 5 seconds and 6 thirds overall. Abby Phillips was the meet’s top scorer, male or female, winning all of her 4 events (4x100, Long Jump, 100m, High Jump). Other event winners were Alana Acuna in the 1600 a time of 5:35, the second fastest in SFC History, Kennedy Necoechea in the 3200, and the girls 4x100 team of Trinity Hontucan, Ashley Kowack, Lauren Oordt, and Abby Phillips. Other individual event podium finishers included Trinity Hontucan, Camille Needham, Quinn Leggett, Nica Zsiros, Jessica Olmore, Anna Bliss in 2 events, Kirsten Drake, and the girls 4x400 team of; Bella Raiszadeh, Camille Needham, Summer Kloer and Chloe Krome.

The Eagles next meet is the Coastal League Meet #2 at Orange Glen HS, 3/21.
