Boys Basketball
2017-2018 Season: 20 wins 12 losses
The Boys Basketball team finished with at least 20 wins for the second season in a row. They won some big games this year against La Costa Canyon, Mission Hills in the Division 1 Semi-Final game and El Camino in the Championship Game. Coach Bickley said, “Winning CIF was a huge highlight, but the journey getting there was special.” This team is graduating 13 seniors and Coach Bickley’s message to them is, “You guys left a huge mark on our program on what a Level 6 team looks like. I will use you as an example for as long as I coach as the standard of team chemistry” The team next year is looking forward to starting up and focusing on getting better every day.
Girls Basketball
2017-2018 Season: 20 wins 5 losses
The Girls Basketball team was consistently ranked in the top 5 in San Diego County. The Lady Eagles notched some big wins against San Marcos, La Costa Canyon and Mater Dei. Coach Byrd’s message to her graduating seniors is, “I am blessed and thankful for the opportunity to coach you fine young ladies and I not only loved getting to know you on the court but off the court as well.” Coach Byrd and her team are looking forward to next season, they have a bright future and she is looking forward to coaching them up just like she did with this group of girls.
Girls Soccer
2017-2018 Season: 5 wins 11 losses
The Girls Soccer team played some great games this season. Some highlights of the season were playing a tough Olympian team to a narrow 1-0 loss along with a 7-4 win over Classical in a rainy, windy game. The biggest victory for this team this year was a 3-0 victory at Pacific Ridge. Coach Faber’s message for his 5 departing seniors is, “Live Second! Work hard, and sacrifice for the good of others, even when you aren't recognized for it. Thanks for all your hard work!” The team is looking forward to returning many young players for next season as well as their core group of junior leaders.
Boys Soccer
2017-2018 Season: 6 wins 7 losses 4 draws
The Boys soccer team had a solid season this year. The team played very well together and was able to make it to the CIF playoffs for the 3rd season in a row. This team will be graduating 6 seniors and hopes to focus next year on allowing the younger classes to step up.
Overall this winter season SFC won 1 CIF championship and tallied 51 wins, 35 loss and 4 draws. Go Eagles!
