The SFC Men’s Water Polo team advances to the CIF Championship game with a Semifinal win over West Hills HS by a score of 12-8.
Leading the Eagles to the victory was Captain Max Pagon who had a dominant game in all areas. Max scored five goals, won all four sprints and added three steals and a field block on defense. Scoring five goals along with three steals was Freshman Mitchell Bailey. A great defensive game was played by Emanuel Contreras who had three field blocks and two steals while adding a goal and three assists. Scoring the other Eagles goal was Nate Maddiux who also added two steals.
Other notable contributions were made by Marty Hamud with two assists and two steals. Ryan Harisson, Ben Wakeham and Conner Leonard each added an assist each. Aaron Bolt added a key field block in the last minute to help seal the win. In goal was Tre Grove who made nine saves to secure the victory and send the Eagles to the title game.
The Eagles will try to capture its first ever Men’s CIF title when they play Ramona HS on Saturday at 11:00am. The game will be at the Coggan Aquatic Center in La Jolla.
