This past Saturday our SFC Track & Field athletes experienced great success at Mount Carmel High School as several athletes qualified for the 2023 CIF CIF SECTION FINALS.
In supernatural ways, SFC's Track & Field team is the largest of our 23 Varsity CIF sports all the while without having any of the necessary sports facilities on campus.
This Saturday saw some amazing results and we are incredibly grateful for God's orchestration with our kids, coaches and track families.
Performance highlights from this weekend included:
Serre Klijian represented SFC in both the Long Jump and the Triple Jump
Revere Schmidt ran the 3200, placing 2nd in D3.
Evan Smith ran the 1600 with a personal best of 4:21, taking 3rd in D3.
Hudson Kim ran the 1600 with a time of 4:28 taking 6th in D3.
Esteban Conteras ran the 800 and PR’d with a time of 2:03 and took the 5th place D3.
New for SFC this year was our Boys 4x800 team. This year's team proved to be a formidable force. Ryan Rodrigue, Hudson Kim, Evan Smith and Esteban Contreras peaked at the right time with a best time on Saturday of 8:20 and took 1st place in D3.
God’s continued favor on our School, our Coaches and Track Athletes was unbelievable this year. It always has been, and it always will be.
We are so grateful!
