Hosting the season's first home match, SFC's Varsity Women's Tennis welcomed their third win against the Orange Glen Patriots of Escondido with a final score of 14-4. The match was definitely exciting as several of the JV players came to court and helped dial in the wins!
For the Singles players, Freshman Catherine Bailey came away with a clean sweep, taking all three of her matches, 6-0, 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore Olivia Grimstad slammed down her own winning hat-trick, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore Piper Lenihan put a big W on the board with a score of 6-0 and Sophomore Lennon Griffin from the JV squad was excited to post her first 6-2 win of the season!
The Lady Eagle Doubles teams worked together for several victories against the Orange Glen duos. Sophomore Mila Sonkin and Junior Adrie Morris worked their magic with two victories, 6-0, 6-0. Meanwhile Junior Chloe Rayners partnered up with Sophomore Hazel Roy with a big 6-3 win while Senior Esther Babin and Junior Ella Maddux worked in harmony also posting a 6-0 win! Junior Ella Maddux stayed on the court switching it up with Sophomore Kennedy Cormier for another 6-0 win against their Patriot opponents and Senior Lexa Neufeld and Sophomore Malia Park made their winning court debut together with a smashing 6-1 victory!
It was a happy ending to a long week of 4 consecutive tennis matches for the Lady Eagles - hats off to these girls for working hard and finishing strong!
