It was an exciting match for everyone as SFC's Varsity Women's Tennis brought home a big 15-3 win over the University City High School Centurions. Every player on the team had at least one winning match today starting with the Singles players. Senior Reagan Coyle had the hat-trick winning all 3 of her matches, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2. Junior Co-Captain Kalia Schempp also played solid with 2 wins scoring 6-3 and 6-4 and Sophomore Catherine Bailey rounded out the Singles players posting 2 strong wins of 6-3 and 6-3. For our Doubles teams, the dynamic duo of Junior Co-Caption Mila Sonkin and Junior Kayla Crecion completely dominated with 3 wins of 6-1, 6-1 and 6-4. Freshmen Breezy Frederick and Abby Schneier claimed top spots with 2 wins of 6-0 and 6-3 while Junior Olivia Grimstad teamed up with fellow Junior Andrea Alessio to claim 2 wins for the Eagles at 6-2 and 7-5. Freshmen Peyton McKenna and Emi Tedesco also brought home a victory with a 6-1 win. The week finishes up for the Lady Eagles as they travel to Claremont High School on Thursday, August 24th.
