In another non-League match, SFC's Women's Tennis fought hard against the Clairemont Chieftains, finishing with a tie score of 9 sets to 9 sets won, however, to break the tie, the final tally of overall game scores found the Eagles falling just short with a loss of 75-82 to the Chieftains.
SFC's Singles players brought home several wins starting with Senior Reagan Coyle's 2 wins of 6-3 and 6-0. Junior Kalia Schempp also had 2 wins on the board of 6-3 and fought strong for her second win at 7-5 in extra games. Junior Olivia Grimstad rounded out the Singles team adding her 6-3 win for the Eagles.
The Doubles teams saw Freshman Breezy Frederick and Freshman Abby Schneier playing strong together claiming 2 wins of 6-2 and 6-4. Junior Mila Sonkin and Junior Kayla Crecion added one win of 6-4 to the tally while the Freshmen team of Peyton McKenna and Emi Tedesco also posted a 6-4 win.
The Lady Eagles head to Spring Valley on Saturday, August 26th where Steele Canyon High School will host a "Quad Tournament". SFC will match up against the tennis teams from Valley Center High School, Mater Dei Catholic and Steele Canyon for a very exciting day! Let's go Eagles!
