Senior Reagan Coyle played huge today as the SFC Women's Varsity Tennis won 11-7 in a non-league match against Sage Creek High School. Coyle won all three of her singles matches, 6-3, 6-2, and 6-1 bringing home the full sweep for the Lady Eagles. Sophomore Catherine Bailey added two more wins for our Singles players with scores of 6-2 and 6-0.
The Doubles Teams also played very well with Junior Mila Sonkin teaming up with Junior Kalia Schempp claiming two victories of 6-4 and 7-6. Duo Freshmen Breezy Frederick and Abby Schneier worked together to post two more wins for the Eagles with scores of 6-4 and 6-1 while Junior Olivia Grimstad paired up with Junior Andrea Allessio for a 6-4 win over their Sage Creek opponents. Grimstad then paired up with Freshman Emi Tedesco to battle it out for a 7-6 tie-breaker win!
GOLDEN EAGLE AWARD - The "Golden Eagle Award" was given today to Senior Reagan Coyle. Coyle had an outstanding day as she stayed focused and poised, winning over all three of her Lady Bobcat opponents. Well-deserved and congratulations to you Reagan!
About the "Golden Eagle Award" - Each match, Coach Chuck, Coach RIck and Coach Tricia will determine which player or players (for a doubles team) should be given the "Golden Eagle Award". The Award represents the athlete(s) who gave an outstanding effort and displayed an outstanding attitude for the match.
